A Winning Campaign.

We celebrated the culmination of the 2008 EatLafayette campaign today at Vermilionville by picking winner for the cruise and opening a new cooking school at Vermilionville.

Word has it the winner of the cruise put her name in the drawing at Zeus on Pinhook! There were nearly 10,000 entries and eatlafayette.com had over 600,000 hits during the campaign.

MMMMMM... Southside Bakery!

Today, we ended the EatLafayette promotion on a stellar note.

While we didn't have time to throw Jeff, our web programmer, a going away shindig, we did have time to gather in the conference room to tell him how much he's appreciated. We decided we'd treat Jeff to his very first Southside burger. From the very first bite, he was hooked!

The table fell silent and everyone had their hamburgers devoured in no time flat. With all that perfectly baked bread and juicy hamburger, you can't help but wonder where you'll put it all... but then you take another bite, and that thought just seems trivial! I ate the whole thing and enjoyed it immensely, as always.

If you haven't had your first Southside burger, don't wait till next years EatLafayette promotion.
Head over there today!

Lil' Daddy's is Big BBQ!

It's located inside an Exxon station at the intersection of Pinhook Road and the Evangeline Thruway. Bar-B-Q includes ribs, chicken, brisket, and pork. Seating is available and the customer service is superb.

Every time I go, I feel so good as a person and just love the food. I eat the chicken and don't even douse it with the BBQ sauce, which by the way is awesome.

I am always amazed at how fresh the sides are. When's the last time you could even taste the cabbage in the cole slaw?

I'm just crazy about Lil' Daddy's! And, I'm so surprised that some people haven't heard of it because I'm telling you plenty of people do. It's packed and a great place for take out. Real smoked meat and sides like you'd make at home. Their food just makes me feel good. There's something they are doing that is different from everyone else. It just goes down well. The body loves it.

I just want to walk in the door and inhale the aroma! Guess what? They'll take your Exxon charge card as well.
