Relax and Enjoy Your Holidays with our EatLafayette Restaurants!

Our EatLafayette restaurants can take care of that for you!

Many of our restaurants offer catering, pick-up, and special orders for the holiday season! If there's a dish you're hankering for, but simply don't have the time (or desire) to make it yourself, give your favorite EatLafayette restaurant a call to find out your options.

Most of our restaurants can also accommodate you if you're itching to get out of your house and want to spend some time out on the town with your clan. Make your reservations now at your favorite restaurant to ensure that you get the time and space you need for whatever size gathering you're planning. Some of our restaurants even have special areas for private parties and intimate gatherings. They'll be happy to help make your holiday dinner dream a reality.

Enjoy The Cooler Temperatures at Your Favorite EatLafayette Restaurants!

It might not be cold yet, but the overwhelming heat of summer has subsided, making way for the cooler temperatures we all love every October.

We hope you've been enjoying the weather and recommend that you hang out at an EatLafayette restaurant soon!

Outdoor patios are phenomenal this time of year and one of our restaurants, Agave, was named the best for outdoor dining in the 2011 Best of Acadiana campaign!
To name a few others, 2 Paul's, Blue Dog, Café Vermilionville, Jolie's, Olde Tyme, Pamplona, Romacelli, Trynd, some Zeus locations, and several other EatLafayette restaurants also have outdoor patios.

Know what else cooler temperatures bring out? Gumbo pots! You might find the place that has the perfect bowl of gumbo while scrolling through our Cajun and seafood categories. Here's a tip: Prejean's and Fezzo's were named some of the top places for gumbo in the 2011 Best of Acadiana campaign. Everyone likes their gumbo made differently, though, so try them all for yourself!

And if you can't wait for Halloween at the end of the month to satisfy your sweet tooth, maybe the restaurants in our sweets category can help!

Whichever reason brings you to an EatLafayette restaurant, make sure to bring your friends and family! What could be better than sharing a good time?

Connect with us on Facebook, Foursquare, and Twitter to stay in the loop about what's going on around town with our restaurants.

Thanks for an amazing EatLafayette campaign!

The past two months have been a dream come true. The official 2011 EatLafayette campaign began on June 20 and we have been letting the good times roll since. In the celebration of our 57 participating locally-owned restaurants, we had a packed kick-off party, ate some delicious food, made new friends, and followed a 12-foot-tall hot sauce bottle around town for deals.

We are so grateful to all of our sponsors. Without them, our ideas would have never come to fruition. Our sponsors are: The NEW Fly Lafayette Club, Lafayette Conventions and Visitors Commission, Atmos Energy, AT&T, Cox, KADN FOX 15, My KLAF TV, KLFY TV 10, Louisiana Gold Pepper Sauce & Bruce Foods, The Independent Weekly, and Travel Machine.

We at EatLafayette would like to yell from the rooftops how thankful we are for another certain group of people. Who are these wonderful people, you ask? It's YOU! Without you, there would be no readers for our newsletters, no visitors to our website, no fans on Facebook and no followers on Twitter, no mouths to feed and nobody to celebrate with. It's because of you that these restaurants stay open and because of all of us that they become a part of our culture. Thank you so much for celebrating with us!

Don't get all teary-eyed, now. We're sad the official 2011 campaign is over, too, but we still have a couple things up our sleeves!

First: Did you enter to win the free four-day Caribbean Cruise for two, courtesy of Travel Machine, when you visited our EatLafayette restaurants? We have yet to announce a winner. We'll announce the winner LIVE on air on Monday, August 22 between 9 and 10am on 99.9 KTDY with CJ and Debbie Ray! Tune in your radio stations or listen online at 999KTDY.com to hear if you're the lucky winner!

Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth: Our website, Facebook page, Twitter page, newsletters, and helpful map will be live and accessible all year-round. Do you know what this means? You can stay connected to us all year long and hear about great deals, events, and celebrations even though the official campaign is over! We're excited - can you tell?

Join us on-air by tuning in to 99.9 KTDY on Monday, August 22 at 9am to hear who the lucky free cruise winner is - it could be you!

EatLafayette and Support Our City!

Many people think EatLafayette is all about the food. That is probably because we often feature mouth-watering items and tantalizing treats to satisfy your hunger throughout the campaign and throughout the year.

Lafayette's food and dining experiences are what we celebrate on a day-to-day basis, but that is only part of it. EatLafayette is also about celebrating local business and supporting our city.

So many groups encourage communities to support local farmers, businesses, restaurants, artists and everything else in between and some people wonder what it really means to "go local." "Going local" means supporting our city's economy and building relationships within our community. It means feeling like we are a part of something. It even creates a space where we can genuinely say "How's ya momma an dem?" And it just feels so good!

All 57 participating EatLafayette restaurants got their start here, and they are not still open by chance. They are open because you continue to support them. You've made that hang-out down the road your favorite place to go with your friends after a long night. You've continued to take dates to that fabulous restaurant on the other side of town. You've found the spot your kids love and you're sticking to it because the service is so great. Your family always goes to the same place to celebrate or everyone you know has had their reception there. You've figured out your favorite take-out dish and that's your Tuesday meal no matter what. Whatever keeps you coming back has kept these restaurants open, no doubt.

So gather your friends, your family, the neighborhood or club together and EatLafayette. The small decision to choose a participating EatLafayette restaurant may not seem like much, but it means a lot to those you're supporting. Let's build our city up to be as great as we think it should be. Let's celebrate those who choose to have their business here in Lafayette.

If you're having trouble deciding where to eat, you can always visit www.EatLafayette.com to see a list of our participating restaurants. If you don't want to go too far or want something on the way, check out our helpful map. You can even follow EatLafayette on Facebook and Twitter to join the conversation!

We happily invite you to celebrate Lafayette's locally-owned restaurants. Visit them, tell your friends about them, and recommend them to out-of-towners. Until August 15th, you can even enter to win a free cruise! Encourage everyone you know to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience right here in Lafayette!

About EatLafayette™
What started as a conversation between two local businessmen in Lafayette, Louisiana has evolved into a successful promotions campaign that provides a unique opportunity for people to experience local cuisine in Lafayette. Charlie Goodson, owner of Charley G's Seafood Grill, and Gerald Breaux, executive director of the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission got together in early 2005 to discuss how locally owned restaurants could gain visibility in a market flooded with big-dollar franchise restaurant advertising.

The result of those conversations was a summer EatLafayette™ campaign that is now in its seventh year. EatLafayette™ is a two-month celebration showcasing the restaurants that make Acadiana culture so appetizing. This year's campaign is a true success with 57 restaurants signed up to participate.
