The past two months have been a dream come true. The official 2011 EatLafayette campaign began on June 20 and we have been letting the good times roll since. In the celebration of our 57 participating locally-owned restaurants, we had a packed kick-off party, ate some delicious food, made new friends, and followed a 12-foot-tall hot sauce bottle around town for deals.
We are so grateful to all of our sponsors. Without them, our ideas would have never come to fruition. We at EatLafayette would like to yell from the rooftops how thankful we are for another certain group of people. Who are these wonderful people, you ask? It's YOU! Without you, there would be no readers for our newsletters, no visitors to our website, no fans on Facebook and no followers on Twitter, no mouths to feed and nobody to celebrate with. It's because of you that these restaurants stay open and because of all of us that they become a part of our culture. Thank you so much for celebrating with us!
Don't get all teary-eyed, now. We're sad the official 2011 campaign is over, too, but we still have a couple things up our sleeves!
